I read a lot?".

What's old is new to the young. Pretty soon it's going to be really cool to be 70. Actually, I guess Nick Lowe is as likely a poster child for this new hipness as anybody . . . back to the rock star pants.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08186811796537278365noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18548915.post-81231884965084528302009-03-30T14:37:00.000-04:002009-03-30T14:37:00.000-04:00I love the sound of breaking glass.I love the sound of breaking glass.Happy In Baghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03325328547476858000noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18548915.post-4099608347088800842009-03-30T12:25:00.000-04:002009-03-30T12:25:00.000-04:00Funny, I saw him play "I Read a Lot" last year and...Funny, I saw him play "I Read a Lot" last year and was so in love with the song that I learned it on guitar. I enjoy thinking that my kinship with Nick Lowe just means I'm prematurely old inside.Leftyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18100383833322831553noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18548915.post-5220485459033603852009-03-30T10:54:00.000-04:002009-03-30T10:54:00.000-04:00I'm sure at least some of you saw Nick Lowe recent...I'm sure at least some of you saw Nick Lowe recently on Austin City Limits. In the interview clip he said that he had always been a fan of "old guy" music, something that is exquisitely clear in his new song "I Read a Lot" (the following YouTube video has a long blabbering intro and bad picture but A+ sound) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvVUC-oGy4Q. The rock star pants really never fit, which is probably why these older songs still sound so good. Thanks for the links.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08186811796537278365noreply@blogger.com
